Mark the empty line
The scribe’s row 36 could have come from three boards. The board shows an empty line; the row loses it.
Write some boards down. Write one sign for each line, from the top line down. At first you have no sign for an empty line, so leave a gap, and see what a scribe makes of it. Then choose a mark of your own. There are 4 rounds.
